Job Description
The key job responsibilities of the successful candidate include:
The position focuses at reliable modelling of stormwater and sewer system - calibration, validation and uncertainty assessment. The work will include code development with Fortran/C/C++ or other programming languages, evaluation of various mathematical models on the basis of field data and by the development of procedures for model calibration and uncertainty assessment. The work will also include laboratory studies and field work.
Requirements
The applicant shall hold a PhD in urban water engineering, environmental engineering, civil engineering or equivalent, if a sufficient mathematical background can be proven. Knowledge in the fields of urban water engineering, hydraulics, (urban) hydrology is also required. Further skills needed are the ability to work independently and take own initiatives as well as independently penetrate new research areas. Moreover, English language skills are required to facilitate presentation of research outcomes in international conferences and scientific papers.
