Job Title: Senior Scientist position in oligo synthesis/organic chemistry

Job Description
1. Provide supervisory and training to associate and assistant scientists.
2. Play the role in scientific leadership, including study design, literature reference research, project direction, and scientific discussion
3. Lead a group to achieve the goal of assigned R&D projects to support oligo synthesis services.
4. Work with marketing and sales dept. to develop the market of new products or service.
Requirements
1. The candidate will provide leadership and will therefore have experience with and possess deep familiarity with solid and solution chemistry, preferably oligo synthesis.
2. The candidate must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills, be able to manage multiple simultaneous project assignments and work well in team environments.
3. The candidate must be bi-lingual, fluent in Chinese and English reading, writing and conversation.
4. Proactively participating in collaborative projects.
5. Excels in a collaborative work environment, good inter-personal, managerial and leadership skills and strong oral and written communication abilities
Education/Experience Required:
1. At least three years’ working experience in solid and solution chemistry with demonstrated track record of technology innovation and process optimization; The candidate with experience in oligonucleotide synthesis is preferred.
2. A Ph. D. degree in organic chemistry or a related field. Oversea training is preferred.
3. Knowledge on chromatograph separation technology (PTLC, flush column purification, HPLC purification)
4. Extensive knowledge and experience in the use of the following analytical instrumentation; HPLC, mass spectrometry, UV/IR/NMR spectroscopy.
5. Advanced computer skills in chromatography data acquisition systems, spreadsheets and word processing.
