For our Siemens Corporate Technology Integration and Disruptive Innovation Center (IDIC) in Beijing, Siemens is looking for a Design Thinking Specialist. What are my responsibilities? Mission -The primary function of the Industrial Design Thinking in China (i.DT) Coach is to establish successfully the Industrial Design Thinking in China methodology at Siemens China and beyond. Tasks -Implementation of IDIC program plans aligned with the strategy and goals of the IDIC Steering Committee and stakeholders -Planning and execution of workshops/curriculums/trainings for the program aligned with the goals of IDIC and its' stakeholders -Execute IDIC projects, workshops and training programs in collaboration with internal and external Coaches and Project Teams -Coordination and support of program's projects, project managers and project partners. -Planning and executing research work for further adaptation of the methodology for the industrial environment and for China. Ensuring knowledge transfer across projects. Internal/external publications of case studies and lessons learnt. -Support for contribution to Performance Management Process e.g. target setting, strategy, business development, customer relationship, evaluation and competency development for Project Managers and project staff in close cooperation with relevant person -Acquisition and utilization of knowledge concerning the Innovation trends in business and technology -Ability to work on-site in various cities in China, evtl. in other countries What do I need to qualify for this job? Education -Master degree in relevant field or above, Engineering background preferred Knowledge / Capability -Design Thinking in theory and practice, DT project experience in Industry -Design skills, e.g. sketching, hands-on prototyping -Mechatronic skills, technical knowledge in several fields, -Workshop experience incl. moderation techniques, methods of discussion and cooperation -Industry / client know-how (strategies, technologies, business perspectives) -Team leadership, Coaching, passionate and driven for innovation -Project management, marketing, business development / acquisition, customer relationship skills -High communication skills, negotiation skills, value selling techniques -Established Network in the Design Thinking Community -Chinese, English Experience -Experience with design thinking (and similar concepts) for innovation, b2b project experience is highly desirable -Minimum of 3 to 5 years of technical AND project execution experience. -Demonstrated skills and interest in leadership and in project management and integration across functional lines -Track record of successful project history as Project Manager/Contributor in a Team environment -International and cross-cultural experience preferred In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
